We are seeking a talented Water Service Designer / Coordinator to join our client's growing team in Inner-West Sydney.

This role involves end-to-end water service design and coordination, from concept to completion. Key tasks include facilitating Section 73 and Building Plan approval applications with Sydney Water, developing detailed water service designs, and preparing accurate documentation.

Qualifications and experience required for this position include previous experience as a WSC with Sydney Water, good understanding of Sydney Water's processes and policies, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent drafting skills, and proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, GIS, and MS packages including Excel and Word.

A driver's license is also required for field work and site inspections.

About the Role:

  • End-to-end water service design and coordination
  • Facilitating Section 73 and Building Plan approval applications with Sydney Water
  • Developing detailed water service designs and preparing accurate documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Water Servicing Coordinator to facilitate Section 73 and Building Plan approval applications and process with Sydney Water;
  • Develop detailed water service designs, including hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing;
  • Prepare accurate and timely documentation, including as-built drawings and reports;
  • Assisting on projects from early quoting stages through to commencement and completion;
  • Undertaking field work and site inspections for minor and major works projects;
  • Liaising with Sydney Water, developers, architects, engineers and constructors to facilitate Sydney Water approval and commencement/completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • MUST have previous experience as a WSC with Sydney Water;
  • Good understanding of Sydney Water's processes and policies;
  • Understanding of relevant software (AutoCAD, GIS and MS packages - excel, word), along with excellent drafting skills and a STRONG attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Driver's licence required (to assist with field work and site inspections);

Salary: Approximately $80,000-$120,000 per annum depending on experience.

Location: Inner West Sydney.
