We are seeking an experienced Academic Support Professional to join our team at The Gordon, a dynamic and inclusive organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of academic support principles and be able to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment.

As an Academic Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge and support in areas such as language, literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy to assist TAFE students at all levels of learning to succeed in their studies.

This role involves working closely with the Learning Support team to create online learning resources, deliver focused in-class support, and conduct one-to-one appointments with students. You may also be required to supervise staff to assist with program documentation.

The position requires flexibility and the ability to work across multiple campuses in Geelong and Wyndham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist knowledge and support in areas such as language, literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning Support team to create online learning resources
  • Deliver focused in-class support and conduct one-to-one appointments with students
  • Supervise staff to assist with program documentation

Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Proven experience in academic support or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work across multiple campuses
