The role of an Emergency Nurse Specialist involves delivering high-quality patient care through exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for clinical excellence.
Our team operates in a collaborative environment where we strive to deliver quality clinical outcomes for our patients. As a valued member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will actively contribute to team processes and practices to provide exceptional patient care.
- As a leader within our team, you will support and mentor the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centred patient care.
- You will demonstrate professional practice by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics, and conduct, legislative requirements, and policies and processes.
- By fostering a learning environment, you will provide clinical presentations to support the nursing team's professional development, maintain your own professional learning and continuous professional development, and provide supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates, and students.
- Acting as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team, you will contribute to exceptional patient care by participating in departmental and hospital quality improvements and projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current AHPRA registration.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in ED with strong clinical experience and knowledge in resuscitation, triage, and team leader roles.
- A Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing or working towards.
- An understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
- Ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
- High level of written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.
