Public Relations Specialist Role

This is a development-focused position, ideal for recent graduates eager to grow their expertise in science communication.

  • Under supervision, conduct research, write and prepare written communication materials including press releases, blog posts, case studies, outward-facing reports, and website content for publishing through relevant channels (website, social media platforms, flyers, and e-newsletters).
  • Assist with logistical requirements for events that target our stakeholders and support and promote brand awareness through various marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to content creation and management of social media accounts according to our social media strategy, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Support the creation of other communications materials including videos, podcasts, tools, and resources.
  • Collaborate on updating and managing the website through WordPress.
  • Support reviewing and reporting on communications activities.
  • Support linking media requests with relevant researchers and general communications assistance to staff and students.
