Position Overview
The role of a Security Officer encompasses various responsibilities across different sectors. This description serves as a general guideline for the duties associated with this position.
- Full-Time permanent role;
- Competitive hourly compensation with additional shift penalties;
- Standard hours from Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work across various locations on a rotating schedule.
Role Responsibilities
MSS Security is seeking Security Officers to provide security services at multiple court locations within the Sydney CBD. The primary focus of this role is to maintain a visible security presence while delivering exceptional customer service to both staff and visitors. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular foot patrols of court facilities, both indoors and outdoors;
- Managing the locking and unlocking of premises as required;
- Assisting visitors and the public in navigating court areas;
- Documenting incidents through detailed reports;
- Communicating effectively and calmly with key stakeholders;
- Overseeing visitor sign-in processes and maintaining key registers.
Candidate Profile
This position is offered as a relief officer role, operating Monday to Friday, with the possibility of working across different sites on a rotating basis.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Certificate II in Security Operations and a current First Aid certification;
- A valid NSW Security licence;
- A strong commitment to reliability and security principles;
- Physical fitness to walk and stand for extended periods;
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport;
- High proficiency in computer literacy;
- The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
