Expert Legal Counsel Role

This senior role will play a pivotal part in safeguarding the company's interests by providing expert legal and regulatory advice across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, including procurement and mining services contracts.
  • Providing strategic counsel on high-impact decisions involving commercial, contractual, and corporations law matters.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to shape key operational initiatives.
  • Contributing to corporate governance for our dual listing.
  • Managing legal disputes and external counsel with efficiency and fiscal discipline.

Requirements:

  • 5–12 years post-admission experience (PAE) in mining, resources, construction, or engineering.
  • Bachelor of Laws and admission to the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory, with a current practising certificate.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
