Senior Legal Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Expert to join our esteemed organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to take on a challenging role that will utilize their expertise in legal matters.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on complex issues relating to mergers and acquisitions, as well as conducting research into relevant legislation. They will also be involved in investigations and court proceedings, working closely with external lawyers to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Provide high-level legal guidance on complex matters related to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
- Conduct thorough research into relevant legislation and case law.
- Assist with the conduct of investigations and court proceedings, including drafting and submitting documents.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Admission as a practitioner of the High Court or Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
- Significant experience in working effectively as a lawyer, advising and guiding line areas under tight timeframes.
- Experience in relation to Part IV of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, particularly in respect of merger clearances and competition exemptions, would be highly advantageous.
