Job Overview

A leading manufacturer in Australia has a vacancy for a skilled individual to perform a hybrid role involving mechanical fitting, assembling, and pneumatic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to pick parts and assist with determining required vendor and internally made components.
  • Determine Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy from drawings/designs and advise necessary changes.
  • Study and interpret mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
  • Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment.
  • Accurately fit and assemble metal parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to determine the accuracy, clearance, and fit of assembled and fabricated metal parts.
  • Fitting, assembling, and modifying pneumatic circuits.
  • Test and evaluate designs if required.
  • Check the accuracy and quality of finished machinery, parts, or sub-assemblies.
  • Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Evaluate a final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Operate equipment and carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work independently and autonomously.
  • A knowledge of filling or capping machines is an advantage.

Requirements:

  • Australian recognised trade qualifications.
  • 5+ years' experience in metalworking or manufacturing.
