Australia's leading manufacturer of volume filling machines has a vacancy for an experienced, full-time individual with the skills necessary to perform a hybrid role of **Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Assembler**

**We are looking for the following skills**:

- Able to determine BOM accuracy from drawings/designs and advise changes where necessary.
- Ability to pick parts and assist with ordering when required.
- Ability to interpret and modify drawings when required.
- Experienced in the set up and adjustment of metalworking machines and equipment. Specific experience using lathes, milling and guillotine machinery preferred.
- Able to accurately fit and assemble metal parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to determine the accuracy, clearance and fit of assembled and fabricated metal parts.
- Able to test and evaluate designs if required.
- Able to check accuracy and quality of finished machinery, parts, or sub-assemblies.
- Able to dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
- Able to evaluate a final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
- Must be able to operate equipment and carrying out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Knowledge of filling or capping machines is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Pneumatics an advantage.

You possess Australian recognised trade qualifications. **Salary**: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
