Job Title: Business Development Manager for Indigenous Communities

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Indigenous Australians. As a Business Development Manager for Indigenous Communities, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders to attract new business customers and grow existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and pursue business opportunities with Indigenous communities, focusing on new-to-bank customers generated from internal and external referral partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including Indigenous business influencers and community leaders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing tailored business solutions and expert advice to meet their financial needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all business needs of customers are addressed, including trade finance, complex payment solutions, and credit structuring.
  • Conduct customer needs reviews to provide business solutions to new customers, including business lending, asset finance, and other transactional needs.
What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in banking or business development, preferably in Indigenous communities.
  • A deep understanding of the needs and opportunities for Indigenous business customers, including challenges, trends, and the competitive and regulatory environment.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, stakeholder engagement, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to evaluate credit worthiness with a risk focus and provide tailored business solutions to meet customer needs.
