Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson to join our production team in Tasmania.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Agriculture/Dairy Production (or higher equivalent) and at least three years of recent and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and coordinate milking shed routines, reproductive programs, and controlled breeding experiments.
  2. Implement calving procedures, manage pastures and crops for livestock production, and analyze produce to set quality standards.
  3. Supervise animal health programs, work routines, and staff performance, ensuring compliance with Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines – Cattle.
  4. Operate milking plant and equipment safely, record instrument data, and perform calf feeding and transportation tasks.
  5. Assist with irrigation works, inspect livestock, transport, handle, and store chemicals, and operate farm and dairy-related vehicles, plant, and equipment.
  6. Maintain accurate records for stock and inventory control, ensure food safety regulations compliance, and contribute to OHS requirements.
