Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director, Families and Safety Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of policy and programs that promote the safety and well-being of First Nations families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policy and programs that address the safety and well-being of First Nations families
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior management on policy and program development and implementation
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement policy and programs
  • Represent the work area and participate in committees and forums related to policy and program development and implementation
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Demonstrated capability and commitment to continue to develop cultural competency
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects and priorities
