We are seeking an Electrical Design Drafter at the Technical Officer level to join our team on a full-time basis in NSW or QLD. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the management and production of intelligent CAD models, documentation, and technical work tasks to agreed deadlines and standards.

You will collaborate with colleagues, liaising with Engineers and Drafters locally and internationally to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables while maintaining high technical design standards.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a key client embarking on a major transmission works program of unprecedented scale in the Australian electricity sector.

Strong data management and communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and produce intelligent CAD models, documentation, and other technical work tasks
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables
  • Maintain high technical design standards through continuous learning and development
  • Liaise with Engineers and Drafters (locally and internationally)

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Microstation is desirable but not essential
  • Familiarity with AS1100 drafting standards is required
  • Able to work to client CAD standard requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of working in a design office and preparation of engineering design drawings
  • Excellent drawing checking ability
