Project Engineer

Design and Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team on a landmark multistorey residential new build project on the Gold Coast.

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on similar projects in excess of $100m.

This is a 2-tower development which is currently in the early stages of excavation, with the project expected to run for a couple of years. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of the project.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the project management team to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Managing and coordinating all engineering activities, including design, construction, and quality assurance.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Conducting regular site walk-throughs to monitor progress, identify any potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Working closely with other Engineers to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any project-related challenges.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project engineering within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to large-scale industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
