Building Surveyor Position

We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building surveying, a strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia Volume One, and be registered in the category of BSU or BSL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out representative roles in Building Permit applications for Class 2 – 9 buildings.
  • Attend project meetings for larger development projects.
  • Coordinate and attend FRV meetings with Fire engineering to finalise regulatory strategy.
  • Develop Building Surveying BCA and Regulatory strategies for large commercial projects.
  • Support Assistant Building Surveyors with training and workflow coordination.
  • Assist in resolving problem issues and queries related to projects and VBA.
Required Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Building Surveying (Diploma or Bachelor's degree).
  • Familiarity with aspects of the Building Act 1993 and Regulations in relation to Class 2 – 9 buildings.
  • Highly desirable: Fire engineering qualification and registration in BSU or BSL.
