Autonomous Haulage Systems Technician

This role involves contributing to the maintenance and operation of autonomous haulage systems in a Western Australian mining environment. The position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled individuals to develop their expertise and work collaboratively with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance activities on equipment including Autonomous Haul Trucks and manual vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of onboard system faults to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with OEMs to undertake routine calibrations of AHTs following base machine component replacements
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities to facilitate informed decision-making and drive efficiency improvements
- Employ critical thinking skills to diagnose complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Hold trade or engineering qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or communication fields
- Demonstrate experience working with fleet management systems such as Komatsu FrontRunner and/or CAT Command
- Display a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical mining equipment
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
As part of this role, you will work on a mine site with a 8/6 7/7 rotating roster, providing a unique opportunity to balance work and personal life.
The position requires the ability to think critically, work independently, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
