The Shellharbour Integrated Child and Family Precinct will be a one-stop shop for families to access developmental and early intervention services.

The Role Overview

This senior Project Officer position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating projects in community or social service settings. Strong project management skills are essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and will be able to engage respectfully with these groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead co-design processes in community or social service settings.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Engage with people from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with local government and community-based organisations.
  • Support development and implementation of the service model for the hub with a focus on community voices and inclusion.
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience leading co-design processes in community or social service settings.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practices.
  • Ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities.
  • Understanding of the Shellharbour community and key Child and Family stakeholders.
  • Experience working with local government and community-based organisations.
  • High level computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
