The OpportunityWe're seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our investment and superannuation platform applications. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Development Managers, Heads of Software Engineering, and Architects to drive technical design and development.
- Leading a team of talented Software Engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and ensuring best practices.
- Hands-on involvement in delivering projects, enhancements, and technical support using modern.NET and cloud technologies.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of processes and procedures, and helping shape the strategic direction of our platform applications.
- Working closely with the Enterprise Architect and Heads of Software Engineering to align technical designs and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the development cycle.
We're looking for a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in microservice web application development and DevOps practices. You'll have a strong background in cloud architecture, particularly Azure, and be able to design and implement scalable, resilient cloud solutions for high-traffic, mission-critical systems.
You'll be an exceptional problem-solver with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. You'll build strong relationships with your team and across departments, facilitating seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing. You'll understand team dynamics and be able to adapt your style to suit different audiences.
