**About the Role**

As an Expert Injury Claims Specialist, you will play a vital part in delivering support and financial security with care and expertise.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will manage a portfolio of complex, underwritten, and high-value injury claims. You will collaborate with technical experts and business partners to support sound decision-making and contribute to embedding best practice within a newly established specialist team.

**Your Key Responsibilities**

Independently manage a portfolio (35-45) of complex, underwritten, and high-value injury claims with accuracy, efficiency, resilience, and empathy.

Collaborate with technical experts and business partners to support sound, high-quality decision-making.

Contribute to embedding best practice and shaping the success of a newly established specialist team.

Engage confidently with claimants, legal, trustees, and internal stakeholders, ensuring a professional and empathetic approach to complex cases.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

Extensive experience in injury claims management across either Group or Retail (Retail desirable).

Strong technical expertise across complex injury claims.

Strong understanding of insurance legislation and frameworks (e.g., Insurance Contracts Act).

Background in law or allied health (e.g., OT) highly regarded.

Strong analytical skills, resilience, and confidence managing complex and sensitive claims.

Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses, and treatment.
