We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Co-worker at IKEA. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the IKEA brand position by acting as a brand ambassador for IKEA and IKEA Retail Food.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by seeking and acting upon customer feedback.
  • Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery.
  • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
  • Clearing tables, wiping down benchtops and stocktake.
  • Working the cash register, handling the money and providing excellent customer service.
  • Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions.

Requirements

  • Possess a high customer-centric approach as you will focus on ensuring our customers have a positive dining experience.
  • Experienced with working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
  • Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
