Additional Information:
- These roles are Permanent Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 8:30am to 9:30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction.
- If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 30 September 2024.
**About this work area**
As a Food Co-worker at IKEA your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to the IKEA brand position by acting as a brand ambassador for IKEA and IKEA Retail Food.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by seeking and acting upon customer feedback.
- Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery.
- Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
- Clearing tables, wiping down benchtops and stocktake.
- Working the cash register, handling the money and providing excellent customer service.
- Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you are or have:
- Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
- High customer-centric approach as you will focus on ensuring our customers have a positive dining experience.
- Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
- An energetic and team-focused approach as this department can become extremely busy.
- Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
