Job Title: Real Estate Acquisition Specialist

Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition and management of government employee housing properties. This role involves researching, analyzing, and reporting on property-related transactions, as well as developing written correspondence and briefings for departmental use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze properties to determine their value and potential for acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, valuation services, and other stakeholders to source available properties.
  • Manage and report on property-related transactions, including valuations, asset transfers, land tenure issues, native title assessments, and subdivisions.
  • Coordinate technical due diligence and legal services to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate with real estate agents to agree on price and other terms for property.
  • Prepare and execute land contracts in conjunction with a legal officer.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated prior relevant experience in real estate acquisition and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
