Twin Towns Kindergarten is a not-for-profit community-based service operated by a dedicated committee of parent volunteers. We have a proud connection with our local and Indigenous community, being affiliated with Lady Gowrie Queensland. Our kindergarten has a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care for young children.


The Role


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Director/Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing our kindergarten, developing and implementing programs that reflect sound early childhood principles, and working closely with our parent committee and staff.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, plan, and implement programs that meet the needs of our children and their families, and that are aligned with the National Quality Framework and Standards.
  • To work collaboratively with the parent committee as the Nominated Supervisor/Director, striving for the best outcomes for all children.
  • To be actively involved in the kindergarten's social events, professional development, and networking requirements, as well as regular committee and staff meetings.
  • To have a thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework, and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
  • To have experience and/or qualifications in Nature Kindy/Forest Leader, and to be able to work in a team environment consisting of two educators in each group and a part-time administration officer.

  • Release Days for Quality Improvement Program (QIP) updates and preparation of Transition Statements.
