This role is an Australian first, and we are seeking a Senior Learning & Development Officer to join a unique 6-month contract + extension with a State Government organisation in South Brisbane/CBD.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and deliver culturally appropriate e-learning content and blended training programs to enhance digital and professional capabilities of First Nations peoples.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Identifying the skills required for the role against a Digital Skills Framework and developing a matrix of skill competencies;">
  • Engaging and consulting with relevant stakeholders to define role requirements and codesign delivery models;">
  • Developing and delivering high-quality training programs that meet project management and learning frameworks;">
  • Facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions to build knowledge-sharing capacity across 30 Indigenous Knowledge Centres;">
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure training programs are respectful, relevant, and aligned with Indigenous cultural values and learning styles.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

The ideal candidate will have:

">

5+ years' experience in training development and delivery, preferably within community and local council projects;

">

Qualification in Training, Education, Human Resources, or other relevant field or equivalent work experience in these fields and demonstrated experience in a similar role;

">

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning tools, and virtual training platforms;

">

Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality training and materials that meet project management and learning frameworks.
