Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Governance Expert to join our team, responsible for establishing and managing data governance specifically for the data ingestion effort.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality, integrity, security, and compliance of the data ingested into the Data Lake.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and manage the data governance framework specifically tailored for the ICA data ingestion initiative
  • Define and implement frameworks for data quality, metadata management, access control, and lineage tracking
  • Ensure data in the Cleaned/Governed layer meets compliance and usage standards required for production-ready data products
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity across the data platform layers populated by the ingestion pipelines
  • Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to embed data governance principles into the data ingestion and transformation processes
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of data governance principles and frameworks
  • Experience with data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, and access control concepts and tools
  • Familiarity with concepts related to data warehousing, data lakes, or lakehouses
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive governance adoption
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to define and document data standards, policies, and procedures
