About the Role

We are seeking a Data Governance Expert to play a key role in embedding our enterprise-wide Data Governance Framework and standards. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and continuously improve the Data Governance Framework, including associated policies, standards, and processes.
  • Maintain and evolve key governance assets such as the Business Glossary, Data Catalogue, and Data Dictionary.
  • Coordinate and lead data quality initiatives; identify, escalate, and help resolve data quality issues across operational teams.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure governance is embedded in data products, pipelines, and platforms.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of data governance practices across the business.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview is essential.
  • Previous experience in data governance, data management, or data analytics roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and practices, including data classification, metadata management, data quality, and sensitive data labelling.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Solid understanding of data platforms such as Databricks, and integration with BI/reporting tools.
  • Confident in profiling data and identifying root causes of data issues.
