About the Role
CareSouth is seeking Casual Supervised Contact Workers to join the CareSouth Shoalhaven team. As a Supervised Contact Worker, you will provide high-quality supervision for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families. Your role will ensure the child's best interests are protected during contact, facilitating safe and constructive contact visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families.
- Ensure the child's best interests are protected during contact.
- Facilitate safe and constructive contact visits.
- Report to the Team Leader.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability.
- Tertiary qualification or working towards in a relevant discipline (e.g., social welfare, psychology, education, counselling).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent observational and report writing skills.
- Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Sound knowledge of child development.
- Ability to remain impartial at all times.
- Ability to risk assess varying situations.
- Current driver's license, comprehensively insured vehicle, mobile phone, and access to a computer.
