As a Carer in a residential aged care facility, your role will involve delivering high-quality personal care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobilization
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to relevant staff
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of resident care
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver person-centered care
Certification or qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care)
- Experience in providing personal care to the elderly, preferably in a residential aged care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathizing and building rapport with residents
- A compassionate and patient approach, genuinely committed to improving the lives of older adults
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Police Clearance, Evidence of Flu Vaccination, and 2 Covid Vaccinations
