Our client, a leading national fit out & interior construction specialist, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team. As a key member of the estimating department, you will play a crucial role in the direction and front-end strategy of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality cost estimates for complex projects. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates, evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids, and leading the estimating team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure they meet project specifications and budget requirements
  • Lead and develop the estimating team, providing guidance and oversight to junior estimators and support staff
  • Assess risk factors associated with projects and provide strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and regulatory changes that could affect cost estimates

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience with Fitout & Refurb projects or commercial building sector
  • Proficiency with Estimating software such as Cubit or CostX
