Senior Financial Strategy Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to drive financial performance and planning across our organization. As Senior Financial Strategy Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping our commercial strategy and ensuring the financial sustainability of our schemes that support millions of Australians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned to our business goals.
  • Lead the planning and budgeting process, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Drive the development of actionable insights and recommendations to enhance customer and scheme outcomes.
  • Oversee the production of our enterprise-wide Business Plan and Statement of Business Intent.
  • Provide clear and strategic financial reporting to executive stakeholders, including quarterly performance reviews.
  • Cultivate a culture of commercial discipline and continuous improvement within our finance function.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to deliver statutory reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Possess appropriate accounting (CA/CPA/CIMA) or actuarial qualifications.
  • Bring significant experience leading financial performance and planning functions, ideally within the insurance / healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to influence and engage executive and government stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong people leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams.
  • Showcase experience using a balanced scorecard approach to performance management.
