Safety, Health and Environmental Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor to support our Urban projects in South East Queensland. The successful candidate will have the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships, lead by example, and implement and support our innovative safety systems within a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and facilitate risk assessments in alignment with project schedules and works;
- Design, schedule, and champion project-specific SHE Monitoring Programs informed by risk assessments;
- Monitor the effectiveness of Safety and Health, Environment and Training Management Plans on site and provide advice to the Project Manager on potential improvement initiatives;
- Contribute to and inject SHE risk-based content into project communication forums;
- Assess compliance with site access requirements and facilitate inductions with technical input into investigation reports and lead significant investigations where required;
- Develop content, provide input, and deliver SHE information (including inductions) in accordance with sustainability systems requirements;
- Contribute to broader Golding Contractors SHE improvement programs.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum 5 years of project-based experience in the civil industry with proven exposure to safety, health, environment, and training systems application, compliance, and coaching;
- Ability to understand and apply relevant legislation;
- A clear understanding of risk management principles;
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and develop risk assessments;
- Experience in SHE auditing, incident reporting, and incident investigation.
