Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to our clients requiring bowel and ventilator assistance. This role involves assisting with bowel care, managing ventilators, and conducting assessments to ensure client oxygen saturation and respiratory rate are within policy guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bowel care, including monitoring client vital signs and ensuring the proper functioning of ventilator equipment.
  • Manage ventilators and work closely with Respiratory Therapists to maintain a patent airway.
  • Conduct assessments to ensure client oxygen saturation, bilateral breath sounds, and respiratory rate are within policy guidelines.
  • Monitor client vital signs, particularly blood pressure after changes to ventilator settings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Disability, Aged, Community Care or Individual Care
  • NDIS workers screening check
  • Cert of NDIS workers orientation
  • First Aid and CPR training completed
  • Infection Control Covid-19
  • Manual Handling
  • WWCC

Additional Requirements:

  • Double Vaccination - Mandate Required
  • Ability to work rotating roster
