Project Ecological Consultant
">Job Description
As an experienced ecologist, you will contribute to the success of our company by developing and managing projects related to ecological surveys, environmental assessments, and biodiversity conservation.
">You will lead a variety of field-based ecological surveys, including ground-truthing of regional ecosystem mapping, BioCondition assessments, threatened species surveys, weed and pest animal monitoring, and other relevant tasks.
">Your role will involve working closely with senior ecologists, clients, contractors, government agencies, service providers, and staff to deliver high-quality results.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
- ">
- Postgraduate degree in ecology, botany, zoology, or related discipline.">
- Extensive experience in ecological survey and assessment, including Regional Ecosystem verification and assessment, full floristic survey, vegetation community mapping, plant identification, and BioCondition assessments.">
- Strong ability to contribute to and coordinate ecological surveys and teams.">
- Ability to develop and implement environmental management and monitoring programs.">
- Experience in preparing high-quality reports, including ecological, management, and environmental assessment reports.">
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual skills.">
- Working knowledge of relevant Queensland and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policies.">
- Will to help with business development to generate new business opportunities.">
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of professionals.">
