We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality ecological services.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have significant experience in ecological consultancy, with a strong track record of delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations. They will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients and colleagues, participating in field survey programs, interpreting and applying environmental legislation, and developing technical reports detailing the outcomes of field survey programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide high-quality ecological service and advice to clients and colleagues.
  2. Participate in field survey programs to collect ecological data.
  3. Interpret and apply environmental legislation to projects across various sectors.
  4. Develop technical reports detailing the outcomes of field survey programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, or related field.

  • 5-6+ years' experience in an ecological role in the environmental consulting sector or equivalent role in Government.
  • Excellent flora and/or fauna identification skills.
  • Mature report writing and computer skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written material for publication.
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
