Commercial Director

Lendlease ACT is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in Canberra and support the delivery of a soon to commence $600m project.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the project, including administration of the head contract and subcontracts, developing the procurement strategy and processes, and outlining cost controls, budgets, and managing project cash flow.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that contracts and documentation contain the necessary EH&S inclusions. As a leadership role, you will lead and mentor the commercial and administration project team through to handover.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement commercial strategies and processes to ensure project success.
- Manage and administer contracts, including head contracts and subcontracts.
- Develop and manage project budgets and cost controls.
- Lead and mentor the commercial and administration project team.
- Ensure that contracts and documentation contain the necessary EH&S inclusions.
- A construction management, building, engineering, or quantity surveying degree or equivalent coupled with 10+ years industry experience in the construction industry, ideally on projects above $100 million.
- Expertise in contract management, construction law, and quantity surveying, along with program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation, and administration.
- Experience managing and developing teams of junior staff, strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience managing groups of high-level stakeholders, both internal and external.
