Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced PET Extruder Operator to join our team. This role involves setting up and running our brand-new PET extrusion line, ensuring smooth start-up, changeovers, and shutdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operation of PET extrusion machinery.
  • Monitoring process parameters (temperature, pressure, throughput) via PLC/HMI interfaces.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintaining product quality - verifying resin specifications, melt index, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Performing routine maintenance and assisting with minor repairs or part replacements.
  • FOLLOWING cleanroom protocols at all times.
  • Recording production data accurately in our ERP system and escalating any deviations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: = 2 years operating PET (or comparable polymer) extrusion machinery.
  • Technical skills: Strong mechanical aptitude; familiarity with servo drives, pneumatic systems, and PLC/HMI controls.
  • Quality focus: Keen eye for detail, with a track record of meeting tight tolerances.
  • Cleanroom compliance: Comfortable working in gown-up environments and adhering to GMP/food-grade standards.
  • Problem solver: Proactive mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve production issues on the fly.
  • Team player: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to continuous improvement.
