About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Facilities Management department, you will be responsible for managing physical site security and ensuring compliance with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site security operations to ensure optimal security compliance and processes.
  • Oversee facilities-related digital applications to meet data security standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data security matters within the Facilities department.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential security threats.
  • Investigate and report on security incidents.
  • Coordinate security contract management and monthly review process.
  • Maintain and optimize access control and security alarm systems.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical contractors for system maintenance and installations.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including video and key management systems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. You should also possess:

  • A Certificate in Security and Risk Management (preferable).
  • Certificate in I.T / Cyber Security.
  • Demonstrated experience in Security and Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of security access control, alarm, and vision systems.
  • Able to foster continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
  • A valid Australian driving license (for occasional travel within metropolitan Melbourne).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
