About the Role

Talent Quarter PTY Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Counsellor to join our team on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed term contract with the potential to go to permanent position.

The successful candidate will be providing therapeutic counselling support to young people who are showing early signs associated with suicide, depression and/or self-harm, alongside their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing office-based, outreach and/or telehealth counselling for groups and individuals
  • Supporting the intake team to manage capacity as required
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Administering psychometric testing
  • Administering clinical evaluation measurements, maintaining records, case notes and ensuring that client data is kept up to date in accordance with company procedures

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AASW or AHPRA, depending on degree
  • WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Check
  • Excellent organisational skills
