Senior Town Planner Position

A highly skilled and experienced Urban Planning Specialist is sought by a leading urban planning consultancy to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statutory and strategic planning processes, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the preparation of planning approvals and submissions
- Lead and mentor junior planners to prepare reports, conduct policy research, and liaise with clients and authorities
- Conduct research and analysis of planning legislation and schemes
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and recommendations for clients
- Work with project managers to ensure timelines are met
- Contribute to project outcomes
- Communicate with councils, state agencies, and community stakeholders
- Recently completed or near-completed tertiary qualifications in Urban & Regional Planning
- At least 3 years of industry experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A keen interest in statutory and strategic planning processes
- Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple projects
- Familiarity with WA planning frameworks is highly regarded
- High attention to detail and strong research capabilities
