**Job Description**

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Cook to join our hospitality team. As a Senior Culinary Specialist, you will be instrumental in preparing nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

Your role will involve:

  • Crafting a variety of meals, considering dietary requirements and preferences, to provide residents with enjoyable dining experiences.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assisting in ordering supplies and managing stock levels to guarantee the availability of fresh ingredients.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to meal counts, inventory, and kitchen operations.
  • Working closely with the Hospitality Team Leader and other staff to deliver cohesive and high-quality services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare a range of meals, taking into account individual dietary needs and preferences, to enhance the dining experience for our residents.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen is maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner, meeting health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in procuring supplies and managing stock levels to ensure a steady supply of fresh ingredients.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to meal counts, inventory, and kitchen operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Hospitality Team Leader and other staff to achieve exceptional service delivery.
**Requirements**

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Demonstrated commercial cooking experience, with a solid understanding of food hygiene practices and kitchen safety protocols.
  • A meticulous approach to food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.
  • The ability to interact effectively with residents, staff, and suppliers, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

You will also need:

  • Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation as a cook or chef in a similar setting.
  • One year's experience as a commercial cook, working in a hygiene-controlled environment.
  • A current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or the ability to obtain).
