Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to join our NSW operations team at UniLodge Kensington. The successful candidate will have a strong background in property management and a passion for guiding, coaching, and mentoring a team to achieve excellence and deliver outstanding experiences for our student residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure student wellbeing is always prioritised
  • Manage the property as per the management agreement and all associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Establish and maintain constructive and productive working relationships with the client, head office, operations team, student residents and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and optimise the financial return, and the overall financial performance of the property as outlined in the Financial Model/Budget
  • Maintain the property to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation as would be expected of a professional property management company
  • Pro-actively maintain the building's fit-out and the standard of its equipment
  • Provide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to develop a team of high performing staff

Requirements

  • Must hold a current NSW Real Estate Agent Licence (Class 1)
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in property or building management
  • Experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector
  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, owners, residents, and contractors
  • National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost
  • State Working with Childrens Check, at your own cost
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia
