About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at UniLodge. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, including apartments, common areas, and building exteriors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall maintenance of properties, including electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance
  • Operate within agreed company health and safety procedures and to always follow industry and statutory regulations
  • Maintain the highest level of maintenance, safety, and security at all times
  • Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs
  • Record, report, and assist the General Manager to manage all building defects
  • Assist other staff and residents with training in preventative maintenance and any health and safety issues
  • Assist in the formulation of maintenance budgets year on year
  • Liaise with the General Manager and carry out apartment departure inspections and repairs
  • Manage the work of external contractors and provide progress updates to General Manager
  • Obtain all warranties and operations manuals for all plants and equipment

About You

We are looking for a candidate with similar experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing installations, and building maintenance. A trade qualification will be highly regarded. You will also need to have confident computer skills, including the ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as a 'safety first' mindset and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling. A Class C Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle are also required.
