Job Opportunity: Experienced Commercial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to support our business with budgets, forecasts, claims, and financial reporting. This role involves working closely with the Senior Engineer – Mining & Analysis to ensure commercial actions within our business risk model are in place and effective.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the mining industry, along with a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational abilities, and good knowledge of financial and accounting processes are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in compiling monthly reports and review packs.
  • Review all monthly claims to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Track, prepare, and apply Rise and Fall in the monthly claims.
  • Compile budgets and quarterly forecasts for Surface Mining.
  • Evaluate contract documentation prior to acceptance and execution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the mining industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Good knowledge of financial and accounting processes.
  • Sound risk management knowledge.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes and requirements.
