About This Role

As a Pre-sales Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in guiding the technical evaluation phase of the sales process in a hands-on environment. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a technical advisor to the sales team and work closely with the product team to advocate for customers in the field.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Big Data Analytics, particularly in aspects of architecture and design. They will be responsible for leading clients through evaluating and adopting Databricks, including hands-on Spark programming and integration with the wider cloud ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications to support customers
  • Integrating Databricks with 3rd-party applications to support customer architectures
  • Engaging with the technical community through workshops, seminars, and meet-ups
  • Forming successful relationships with clients throughout their assigned territory

Requirements:

  • Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across various industry markets
  • Strong understanding of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles, with a core strength in either data engineering or data science
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and white-boarding
  • Experience designing and implementing architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, including Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others
  • Solid coding experience in Python, R, Java, Spark, or Scala
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience
