About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Lizard Island Resort, located on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef.

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing, monitoring, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems at our resort. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your career while embracing the unique challenges of maintaining high-quality systems in a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning units to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on all units to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Change filters, clean motors, and perform other routine maintenance tasks to maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with current refrigeration standards and regulations to guarantee a safe working environment.
  • Report and enter data into spreadsheets to track maintenance activities and equipment performance.

  • Trade Qualification (Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Mechanic)
