Senior Manager Position

As a senior manager, you will play a key role in our company's growth and success. You will oversee the progression and growth of our more junior level accountants through genuine coaching and mentoring.

As a senior manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Investing time and knowledge into junior staff members through coaching and mentoring
  • Joining an already high-performing team, helping directors further develop and grow client lists that provide ongoing projects and consulting opportunities
  • Utilizing networks and/or working on business development skills with great support from leadership
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including regular meetings
  • Collaborating with accounting supervisors and managers, contributing to program initiatives
  • Pro-actively seeking opportunities to add value or provide additional products and services to clients, collaborating with other divisions within the company
  • Managing compliance and advisory/consulting engagements, including cash flow forecasting, business acquisition/sale, and specialist tax advice

We seek individuals with:

  • 7+ years of public practice accounting experience
  • Strong technical proficiency in tax and consulting/modelling engagements, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and evaluations
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and strong Xero skills
  • Experience as a mentor and coach for junior and graduate accountants
  • Excellent knowledge of taxation legislation
  • Proven leadership in coaching and developing team talent, empowering junior staff to reach their potential
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, earning trust of clients and consistently delivering high-quality service
  • A collaborative, influential communicator who connects colleagues and shares expertise across the business
  • Strategic thinking – proactively identifying opportunities to enhance client outcomes and drive business success
  • Outstanding organizational skills, balancing complex priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Integrity and sound judgment, providing clear guidance that colleagues and clients can rely on
