Compassionate Veterinary Oncology Specialist Opportunity

Greencross Vets ARH Brisbane, a specialist and emergency hospital in the west of Brisbane, has been growing steadily since its inception 7 years ago. Our purpose-designed, state-of-the-art facility offers services in medical and surgical oncology, small animal surgery, internal medicine, and neurology, as well as an after-hours emergency service.
Our facilities include a dedicated chemotherapy suite, an in-house diagnostic laboratory, CT and MRI scanners, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and access to stereotactic radiation therapy.
**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced veterinary professional to join our team as a Small Animal Medical Oncology Intern. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to work under the guidance of our experienced medical oncologists and surgical specialist, assisted by our skilled nursing staff.
You will be involved in daily rounds and weekly journal club or case presentations, and encouraged to complete a published work during your internship. If eligible, you will also have the opportunity to work towards completion of an ANZCVS membership examination.
**Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you must be eligible for veterinary registration in QLD and hold a current radiation licence. Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic are essential, as is a solid knowledge base on which to build. Clinical experience is desirable but not essential.

This internship provides an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain experience and develop their skills in a busy and friendly referral hospital. You may also have the chance to work at any of our other sites during the internship. Previous interns have gone on to secure residency positions worldwide.
The position includes 4 weeks of annual leave and 1 week of study leave, with a CE allowance. The internship will commence in January 2025 and is for 12 months, with an option to extend to 18 months.
