About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data risk and AI strategy, ensuring robust risk management frameworks that align with Australian regulatory standards.

This critical role will work closely with various divisions to implement, monitor, and assure our Risk Management Strategy (RMS) and operational risk management framework (ORMF), focusing on data, AI, and models.

Your key responsibilities will include providing trusted advice, monitoring internal controls, advising on issue management, supporting annual risk profile reviews, delivering assurance reviews, and responding to emerging risks.

In addition, you will contribute to the performance culture and capability within the Group Risk function, enabling the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives and minimise operational disruptions impacting customers and the broader financial market.

About You

As an ideal candidate, you possess extensive experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and assurance strategies within a financial services organisation.

You're a highly self-motivated, professional, and driven individual who balances technical, commercial, and other issues to benefit the business. Your strong grasp of regulatory requirements and best practices, especially in managing data and model risks, is essential for this role.

You have previously designed and led assurance reviews in financial services and are skilled at driving cross-functional initiatives and meeting timelines.
