We estimate that this role will come with an annual salary of around $140,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a pivotal position within our organisation, requiring a deep understanding of modern data platforms and cloud technologies. You'll be responsible for defining and executing our AI-driven data strategy, aligning it with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and implementation of robust data pipelines and lakes, ensuring seamless machine learning and AI model integration into our data platforms. You'll also mentor and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, data scientists, and AI specialists.

Through close collaboration with clients, you'll identify AI opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and drive business growth. Thought leadership activities, industry presentations, and publications will be essential in sharing your expertise and contributing to the advancement of AI-driven data platforms.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role leading an AI and/or Data capability for a SI, Tech company
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow)
  • Deep understanding of machine learning and AI algorithms (e.g., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning)
  • Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and data governance practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
