About the Job
We are seeking a skilled diesel technician to join our team at Plane Creek Mill in Sarina.
- Perform regular servicing and maintenance of diesel-powered trucks, tractors, and other heavy equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and assist with fault reporting and repairs to ensure optimal operations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to apprentices and trainees, defining tasks and performance targets while offering valuable on-the-job training and feedback.
- Liaise with the Work Coordinator on scheduling and assisting in assessing the economic life and performance of assets to drive continuous improvement
- E nsure all work orders and permits are accurately completed while maintaining timesheets and standard reports for seamless operations.
- Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.
Your Key Skills
To succeed in this role you will hold a Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or be in your fourth year of your apprenticeship, along with a current Confined Space Entry, Working Safely at Heights and a manual driver's license.
